I got a random idea earlier and was hoping to get opinions on it. I would LOVE to be in shape and ready for the beach come summertime. I don't want to call it my "New Year's Resolution," because it seems no one ever sticks to those. It's just my goal. A little about me... I joined MFP about 2 years ago after falling down stairs and breaking my foot. I was so heavy I couldn't walk on crutches without difficulty. Long story short, by counting my calories and exercising I lost 50 lbs in about 7 months. I hit a plateau for about a month and got discouraged and quit tracking. (BIG mistake). Over the last year I gained about 15 lbs of that back. I recently started back on MFP again and have managed to lose about 8 of those 15 lbs, but still have a way to go. I am in the process of creating a website/blog that is fitness oriented. My main reason for this post is to ask if anyone would be interested in joining my "challenge." I don't really know what I will name it yet (suggestions welcomed!), but I thought it would be neat to have the start date/end date on there, and the people who join introduce themselves and tell us their goal. I was thinking the start day could be January 1st and end date June 21st (first day of summer) for a total of 171 days. I realize that is a LONG time, but I figure we could do daily or weekly check-ins and even do something special for the middle of the challenge. I'm still in the planning stages for the most part, but would love to hear ideas/opinions. Let me know if you are interested, and I'll keep you updated on the progress! Maybe it would even be better to do a 12 week challenge first, and if all goes well do another 12 week challenge. Thoughts? Opinions? Hope to hear from you guys!

Keep me posted. Once I booked the family vacation to Florida next year I realized that there was a reason I have not been to a beach for a few years. I started counting calories and actually went into the gym instead of just carting my membership card around. Anything to keep my motivation level up is a good thing.0
