I use real butter for cooking most things. I use a light butter for spreading on toast easier.

Why do you want a substitute? Personally I use butter.

"I can't believe it's not butter" tastes pretty good as a butter substitute

I use butter, oils (usually olive or coconut) or animal fats for cooking. We need some fats in our diet. My body reacts badly to soy as well... so margarine is out for sure.

I use Brummel & Brown yogurt butter spread. I've been using it for years, long before I was trying to lose weight -- it's delicious, rich, creamy, and lower-calorie (45kcal/Tbsp). I will seriously never, ever switch in my everyday cooking.

I use real butter. If I am going to spend 100 calories on fat it is going to be something that tastes good.

I never really liked the look of real butter, it's a personal quirk. I have always used margarine. I know it doesn't make sense...

Recently i discovered Olivio olive oil spread. BF thinks it tastes more like butter than cheap margarine i usually buy and so far i like the reduced calories. I used it to make a pizza dough the other day and it worked out well and i also used it to bake seasoned fish in foil and it was yummy.

I think i bought it because of low or no trans fat, i cant remember which.

Forgot that its 50 calories instead of 100.

Real butter. I just only use 50 calories worth, typically.

I'm lactose intolerant (can handle cheese in small amounts) so butter gives me GI issues. I use Earth Balance.
