How much water to drink during weight training.

I usually drink two 750ml containers of water with Post RX BCAA during a weight workout so 6 glasses of water a glass being a cup/250ml. My workout is either 70 mins or 60mins depending on what I am working on. Is this too much water during a workout? not enough? I will have already had 4 cups/1 litre by the time I workout at 11:30am

Sorry, missing something here, why would it be too much?

Trying to get feedback on what other people drink during strength training and how it affects them

I have from a sip to a couple gulps in between sets. In an hour training session, it can be anywhere from 500ml to a couple liters.

Why on earth do you think you need to regulate your water intake during a weight training session?
    If you're thirsty drink, if you're not - don't.

didn't know if like in long distance running where you limit the amount of water you drink if there were issues with drinking too much water during a workout would affect performance. most people seem to think not.

I used to carry a water bottle to the gym every time. I never ended up drinking any. Some of it may depend on what you are doing. I lift heavy weight at low reps most of my time at the gym and don't really sweat or get thirsty until I run at the end. Then by the time I really feel like drinking water... I am back in my truck anyway,

I just drink when I feel thirsty. Sometimes it's a full 750 ml bottle sometimes not. I always chug two 16 oz. glasses before working out in the morning because I wake up super dry.

I go by thirst.. so i don't drink a lot, since i'm well hydrated prior. If you're not thirsty for 1.5 liters, it's probably overkill.
The BCAAs are probably overkill too.

Whether you use a water bottle, or the water fountain - drink!

Gotcha. When I'm lifting, I don't take the time to drink it, although I do slam a bottle pre-workout.

If you want to drink, drink.

There can be an issue with drinking too much water, though most people on this site don't seem to understand that. Also, drinking alot of water in a small time frame or just too much water in general can create an electrolyte inbalance.

If you wait until you're thirsty your body is already dehydrated, that's what thirst is telling you.
