Garmin adjustment

Hello!
Can anyone tell me whether I should be inputting my activity if I'm using a garmin vivofit?
It's counting the steps and synching nicely with my MFP account, but I'm wondering if I should be logging running on top of that or not? The adjustment will take into account the extra calories burned through the extra steps so if I add,say a 30min run am I doubling my activity???
My activity is set to lightly active.
Help I'm very confused!!!!

No, and yes. If your Garmin account and MFP accounts are synced it'll automatically transfer between the two. If you manually enter it on MFP it'll double up. I have found there is sometimes a delay of up to about 15 minutes with the syncing, but on the calories part on the garmin site is a sync now button....which does what you'd expect. I haven't found a similar one on the MFP site yet. :-) Enjoy the step challenges on Garmin too, I find them really motivating!0
