I've been trying to lose 5 lbs, and have been eating from around 1500-1800 most days. Today however I had: Breakfast:
Oatcakes-250 kcal's
1 hard boiled egg- 78 kcal's
Lunch: 4 tbl spoons of hummus- 175 kcal
-4 vegetable crackers- 110 kcal
- 1 big mug of 2% milk-180 kcal
Snack: 2 teaspoons of organic peanut butter- 200 kcal
Dinner: Baked potatoes- 170 kcal
Salad with oil and vinegar dressing- 140 kcal
pan fried onions- 190 kcal ( i think, just estimating here)
- Broccoli with a bit of olive oil- 150 kcal
then I went a bit over board and had 2 large pieces of baked salmon steak- 500-600 kcal
this works out to be around 2,200 kcal for today...
will this day of bad eating ruin my progress, especially since i was sick and couldn't work out?
thanks!

It's only 400 calories extra, you won't even notice it. Log it and move on.0

^^^THIS^^^
It takes about a 3500 calorie deficit to lose 1 pound. So that 400 calories represents about 2 ounces in your weight loss long haul.

If it ruined anything, it did. That's over. Can't go back in time and not eat it.
Just move forward. If you don't lose, eat less or workout more.
Everyone has bad days. Just keep going.0 -
190 cals for some fried onions? How many onions were there lol0

Overeating one day will only ruin your progress if you let it be an excuse to quit your plan.
When you are sick, you shouldn't diet, but focus on getting well.0 -
