with today marking the end of the holidays (for me and I presume some of you) lets take a moment to reflect how we did during one of the toughest times of the year for a dieter.....eatting season.
I think I did OK, my sister always comes down for the holidays and she tends to bake alot, I managed to avoid the extra sugar, calories, carbs etc sometimes however I also caved in a few times..."its the holidays" I say as I munch down on a cookie...
however, today I am self declaring the end of eatting season, I went out with a bang (3 cookies and a good piece of raspberry cheesecake).
I cant wait until tomorrow to start fresh, I still have a few days before school starts up so I have plenty of time to get back on track.
so tell me, did you make it through the eatting season with your diet relatively untouched or are you starting 2015 with a few extra pounds?

Up three pounds, total, but took in a bunch of sodium last night. Not bad for the whole Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Year feasting.
I went out with a bang, too, having French food for dinner and sorbet & sprite for toasting at the fireworks. It was good!!
Back on track.0 -
I was up about 5 pounds as of last Sunday, but 4 pounds were gone this morning, and I expect that last pound to be gone by this Sunday. I'm in maintenance, and already back below my goal weight. I ate anything I wanted to over the holidays, and enjoyed it. Back to my regular eating program now.0
-
Managed to maintain, and that's with eating 4500ish calories on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day and having some kind of treat (or 2 or 3) the other days. I didn't weigh myself this morning though, to be fair, I overdid it a bit on the carbs yesterday (ended up a bit over maintenance calories).0

Didn't log last week Monday-Friday, lost all the weight I put on that week between Saturday and Tuesday (so thankfully it was nearly all water), and gained 2+ pounds back after Chinese food and nachos last night.0
-
Same as I was before the holidays. That's a win!0

I went over maintenance Christmas week but expected it and regret nothing but the gingerbread decorations.
I stayed within my deficit the other days of the holiday season, with the exception of my birthday and Thanksgiving.0 -
up a few pounds, but less than 5. Not too shabby and I'm assuming there's water weight in there somewhere too. It'll be off in a couple of weeks!0

Going by my 10 day smoothed average? Up .3lbs. Trivial.0

I maintained so I'm very happy! I did eat a lot of chocolate and chips, plus several big dinners, but I didn't feel like restraining myself so just enjoyed it! I've had a nice week and 1/2 of eating whatever but my body is more than happy to get back to normal!0

Didn't go to the gym for 2 weeks. Ate whatever I wanted. Drank whatever I wanted. Weighed this morning....no change. I'm happy with that.0

down 3 lbs since Thanksgiving0

Enjoyed some wonderful meals. Practiced moderation. Worked out consistently (cardio + weights). Maintained.0

From Thanksgiving to today, I'm down 7.2 pounds. So over all I'm pleased.0

I lost 2 pounds that I'm now trying to gain back.0

This is a great way to look at it! While I am still "up" about a pound from Christmas Eve, I am 7 down from Thanksgiving. To have lost anything during a time when most are putting weight on is something to celebrate.

I've been not counting for about a month and honestly haven't cooked a meal in almost that long. Somehow I'm only 2kg up. I consider this a Christmas miracle and will resume regularly scheduled eating as of going back to work on Monday0

I know last xmas, I let the treats get to me. I recall just going crazy on all of them even after having a large turkey supper. This year, my goal was to stop eating after supper. I succeeded. There was plenty of treats through out the last few weeks.
...I managed to lose 4lbs this December!0 -
I did horrendous and made a complete pig of myself and am now back up by 6lbs lol. Back on it now though and at least I enjoyed the festivities think I over indulged so much as I was on my own and lapsed back into the whole eating my emotions thing. It's something that I can prepare for next year though0

Continued to lose weight at the same rate post Thanksgiving as I was losing pre-Thanksgiving. So, basically… yeah, I made it through untouched.0

I managed to continually lose weight the entire time. I weight daily to see the trends, watching everything fluctuate was insane. It's amazing how many pounds up and down you can go in a day or so just because of water weight.0

I maintained at 191 lbs, despite some epic calories spikes. I was able to get in a fair amount of exercise, which was fortunate, since on most days I ate back every single one of those calories. Not bad. But I had hoped to have dropped another couple of pounds by now -- I have to shop for some serious work clothes this week, and ideally I'd like to be closer to my goal weight of 180 before dropping big bucks on new suits.0

Gained four pounds, which is a slight improvement from gaining five during Christmas 2013. I went back to eating normal yesterday and had a 200+ calorie deficit. Will weigh myself again late in the coming week (if I don't already have my time of month, because I never weigh then) and see if there's a difference. My Thanksgiving gain of three pounds came off quick, so I'm hoping this goes away just as easy.0

I gained 4 pounds.0

No extra pounds, down a pound from the start of this year.0
-
I started MFP 12 days before Thanksgiving. I'm down 25.9 lbs as of yesterday morning, although I was at my cousin's yesterday evening (baked ziti!salami! cheeses!), & will be driving my daughter back to college tomorrow, which will involve an overnight stay & at least one restaurant meal with friends, so not completely done yet, but I've lost every week, so I'm happy.0
