Celebrity slim rapid phase (Australia)

Hi,
Has anyone tried using the celebrity slim rapid phase to kick start their weight loss? I've been using myfitness pal for a while now but relaxed with my good habits over the Christmas period. I'm going to Thailand in two weeks so was considering doing the celebrity slim rapid phase for the next two weeks and then return to myfitnesspal properly after I've come back. Has anyone used these shakes before?

No shakes for me. I want food. I don't like to drink my meals. Years and years ago I did Slimfast, which was shakes, but I really didn't like it.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you with these shakes specifically.0 -
I haven't done it, but if it's like most plans that "kick start" your weight loss, it's just a low calorie diet. If you want to prepare for an event, I would recommend going low carb. While you will lose mostly water/glycogen, it will allow you to lose 5 to 10 lbs. Just realize that you will gain it all back once you eat carbs again.0

NO thanks. I like to eat my calories.0

I am trying Celebrity Slim meal replacement shakes when working. How is it working out for you? I'd really like some feedback on how you found it and if it worked for you. I have a demanding job so I sometimes I forget to eat or don't have anything "healthy" prepared to eat. I also tend to graze eat as a result of skipping meals. Hoping that even though this is advertised as a VLCD with healthy grazing and my main meal (either lunch or dinner), I'll still eat my 1200 calories and lose some weight. Also, people who come to the thread just to say "No - Eat food" you're not helping - be positive and constructive.0

Dont waste your time and money on gimmicks. Learn how to eat properly and make it stick.0

just eat in a calorie deficit, so why not start MFP now and you will be 2 weeks ahead then if you started later.
Shakes are crap when there is so much good food you can fit into a balanced diet. Heck i eat 1800 calories most days and i never eat the same food twice in a row.0 -
I've just started and I actually feel so good! I've heard stories about how others felt starving and like crap after the day first day.. But I just started today and so far so good! I see that this thread is a few months old, so I'm wondering if it was successful for you and how much you lost!? Thanks0

I'd like to know how it went for them, too.
Are you logging your food with MFP?
There is no such thing as a magic weight loss product.
The shakes won't make you lose weight unless you also have a caloric deficit. MFP can help with that.0 -
I've had a couple of friend's that have tried Optifast,Optislim ect! Only 3 shakes a day with a cup of veggies and a very small amount of fruit. Yes they lost weight due to going into ketosis and starvation mode. When they started a normal diet again all the weight came back plus more. Also cost them a lot of money. As other members have said and me. stick to a low calorie diet, eat real food, use MFP to log your food and with exercise you will loose weight and keep it off in the long run. Also my friend's calorie intake on these diets were way under 1200 calories. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.0
