Day 115 Check In! Updated Progress Pics!

Well, today is Day 115 of logging my food (all WFPB) into My Fitness Pal and Day 112 eating whole food plant based! Still LOVING IT!

My new bloodwork is in and as expected, the Tri Glycerides are better and now more accurate since I fasted prior to this most recent test. The results are:

Total Cholesterol
Jan 20, 2011 - 202
May 13, 2013 - 193 (did NOT fast)
May 28, 2013 - 182 (fasting)

** less then 200 is desirable – Dr. McDougall notes that 150 or less is ideal


HDL (Good Cholesterol)
Jan 20, 2011 - 69
May 13, 2013 - 50 (did NOT fast)
May 28, 2013 - 50 (fasting)

** 40 – 60 is optimal – Dr. McDougall notes higher is better with a caveat that all fractions of cholesterol are reduced on a plant based diet


LDL (Bad Cholesterol)
Jan 20, 2011 - 119
May 13, 2013 - 100 (did NOT fast)
May 28, 2013 - 100 (fasting)

** is in the optimal range of 100 or less and lower then past blood work draw – Dr. McDougall suggests less then 90 as the ideal


TriGlycerides
Jan 20, 2011 - 71
May 13, 2013 - 213 (did NOT fast)
May 28, 2013 - 158 (fasting)

** less then 200 is ok – less then 150 is ideal
