Ok been doing MFP for about the last 6 months, I have started the 30 Abs & Squat challenge what I would like to know has anyone any idea what the Calories burned would be as cant find on Data Base, it is not done by minuets but by the reps of each excersise. TIA

I suggest you time it and just log it as a type of cardio

Yes, use the bodyweight training (might be bodyweight exercise) option under cardio. If I remember correctly, there's also a calisthenics option that has the same calories.
  • Do you have or use a Heart Rate monitor? If so you can calculate a pretty accurate calorie burn that way too. If not, logging as cardio will give you a pretty good idea because you're HR will be elevated doing both exercises. :)

It's worth buying a Heart Rate Monitor. They give you a pretty accurate calorie burn, relatively speaking. They're also pretty cheap.

A Polar F4 heart rate monitor can be like $60.

There are tons of things that factor into calorie burns from age, height, weight, intensity, fitness level, etc. A heart rate monitor tracks your HR which is a pretty accurate way of measuring how hard you are working.

If you don't buy one. You can time it, cut the time in half and log it as circuit training.

But honestly if it's one of those 30 day challenge things where you start off with like 5 squats and 10 crunches and build up. Not worth logging in my opinion.
