well I guess different areas of my chest, I just don't want bulk. I already have man boobs haha, so last thing I want is a "bigger" chest. Just tone an flat.

    Thanks for the videos ;)

If all you want to do is lose size on your chest then you just have to diet down. That is all done through your diet. You can not spot reduce body fat with exercise. It comes off all over your body at the same time.

You should still do a good amount of strength training and cardio for health and fitness though. You will not "bulk" while eating in a calorie deficit and even if you were trying it would take years of hard work to see major growth.

The muscle would replace the fat... if you lose all the fat then you will have like pancake or flap jack tits.... anyways do some research and go on youtube and type in chest workout .. go from there.

Edit: Also you can't spot reduce... so you can't tone your chest on its own... you need to do full body work to lose weight.

    research research research.

So you bought a piece of exercise equipment that is almost exclusively directly/indirectly used for building chest muscles (among others of course) but you don't want to build your chest muscles? What did you buy it for then?

You could try deadlifting the bench itself for lots of reps, that'll prevent that chest from filling out too much.

To be honest, you are not going to get very far with those weights. If you do not have access to a gym or more equipment I would recommend a good bodyweight program like Convict Conditioning.

You will not bulk up your chest without a lot of training, good nutrition, in some cases gear, nor by accident or easily.

A bench can be used for pretty much all of your upper body so not sure what you're asking...?

Trust me your not going to suddenly build massive muscles on your chest, it takes years of hard work and dedication. Adding significant muscle mass is hard work. that does't mean that you shouldn't work out, just have realistic expectations.

Just doing chest exercises is going to lead to muscular imbalances, you should really look at full body work outs.

loosing fat is far easier and will help you to look more muscular, you can't however spot remove fat by exercising one area. the only way to loose fat is to be in a clarify deficit.

like I said, Iam new to all this lol, so Iam sorry if I sound silly haha. I got it mainly! for chest workouts, but Iam also going to use it for triceps an biceps, shoulders, etc. here's the deal, iam actually having a chest surgery(gynecomastia) which is basically chest fat, ive had it forever an can NOT get rid of them which it can also lead to breast cancer so the Dr. said getting the fat removed would be best. after surgery iam just looking to keep them "maintained" if you will, the chances of the fat coming back is rare, but I still just want to work on it some. Iam just looking into keeping my chest flat an toned.

Hi I don't know enough about gynecomastia, to really give any advice, but my understanding is that it is due to hormone imbalances so exercises will not prevent it, medical intervention is ultimately going to help. I would have a chat with your doctor though about the best things to do for long term recovery/prevention.

As for generally having a flat chest, keeping your fat levels low will help. it would take way to much time to give advice on what exercises to do but here is a starting point https://www.youtube.com/user/scooby1961 this guy is a bit of a bro but is fairly reliable in most aspects

99% of people who think they have gyno just have extra fat. I wouldn't worry about man boobs unless your bf% was really low and they still existed. Of course, if your doctor tells you otherwise and you trust him/her, go with it...I am not specifically talking to you but most people who think they have gyno really are just fluffy.

I trust him for sure, he said it was gyno. just sucks cause I know nothing about working out an I can't afford a gym membership right now. I just work with what I own, which isn't much.

I would look into Convict Conditioning as I mentioned - its a body weight routine that includes progressive loading and does not require any equipment.

    This^^^^

You don't see it so often on this sisites but over on BB.com we see it almost daily. It's usually 1 of 2 things:

    1. Underestimating how much fat they have to lose. Meaning they thinK they have gyno when it's really fat
    2. Lack of lbm. That coupled with the fact that they do have some fat on the chest but not a whole lot makes them think they have gyno.

Very very rarely do you see someone and it's an overwhelming "Oh yea man, you need to get that checked out. Of course I don't see what the OP is dealing with and his doctor is operating so hopefully it really is necessary.
Dr. said it was necessary, an its been a huge! burden an insecurity in my life for YEARS!. I've tired EVERYTHING to get rid of them, an they stay the same exact size.

    It's not that uncommon tbh.

You will not bulk up (without the factors already noted) and even if you did, it would not look like gyno.

Make sure you check with your doctor/surgeon regarding rehab - what you can and cannot do re exercise and any time restrictions.

Its a body weight training routine.

Some blurb about it here: http://www.dragondoor.com/pdf/Convict_Conditioning_SUPER_FAQ.pdf

There are a bunch of video's on YouTube that go through the exercises and progression.

I'm not sure what you're not sure about? I was asking if he was planning on just focusing on his upper body or doing full body for balance, because full body is superior to single focus
