Not "starting over" but RE-FOCUSING

Okay... hello MFP (again).
As I see all the "starting over" posts I can't help but think I'm just another one of those January hopefuls that inevitably stop trying. I'm not saying that others who are starting over will fail (in fact I KNOW they won't - let's all do this!! Wooo hooo!!). But, what I am saying, is that because I have this nagging feeling that I'm going to fail, instead of saying I'm "starting over", I'm saying that I am "RE-FOCUSING". I think it will help.
I'm 5'11, almost 6'. I yo-yo between 150 and 190 and I'm sick of it. In 2012 I got down to 152 and kept it off for a hole year. I did not lose the weight in a good way (in fact, I wasn't even trying to lose weight). It was not because of a good diet and exercise. It was pure stress, and no time to eat or sleep.
I eventually burnt out, then, I somehow started dealing with the stress by over-eating. Now, I'm back to being the "heavy version" of myself.
I am now in a better place stress-wise and want to lose the weight again, this time in a healthy way. I do not want to go on a "diet". I want to learn how to sustain a lifestyle where I eat healthy because that's just how I am and I exercise because I want to (not because I feel like I have to).
All that being said (I felt like I had to just post something to get back in the game), can someone remind me what a good carbs/fat/protein allotment would be to start off? I used to know all these things (I was at one time a P90X buff) but have just forgotten over the years...
Thanks!
