My name is Cherie and I'm a 35 year old nursing student. ..Yes, a 35 year old student. I have a son and a daughter that are in 11th and 12th grades and a wonderful(skinny) fiance of 4 years.

Hobbies: Gardening.. Last year I grew Chinese and Thai noodle beans, green beans, Armenian and marketmore cucumbers.. yellow, zucchini, acorn, and butternut squashes, many colors of tomato, Malabar spinach, onions, okra, eggplant, and a dozen species of peppers ranging from scorpion and ghost to jalapeño and poblano.

Husbandry: I currently have a small mixed flock of incredible egg layers and plan to expand when my hatchery chicks arrive march 4th.. I will then be the proud owner of Saipan jungle fowl.. (3 foot tall dinosaur looking chickens)
I also have a Tamworth pig that I plan to use to produce pork babies next year.

Pets: I have a standard poodle, black lab, two domestic shorthair cats, an alligator snapping turtle hybrid, a bearded dragon, a free range rabbit.

Recreation: I love to do yard work and to tube down the river or camp.

So back to my problem... I'm 5`9 and weight 185. My starting weight at the beginning of December was 195. I would like to be 145-155. Currently I'm trying 1200-1500 calories a day restricting carbs to <30 subtracting only fiber. I'm trying to consume 100+ grams protein a day and watching my nutrient levels.
Thus far I only supplement 50% of my calcium.
Since I love everything about food from growing it to eating it I have to redirect myself to tasks like weighing it and preparing it uniquely rather than spending time eating it.

I'd really need support and accountability.

Cherie - I'm with you there. I love to garden, look for exotic recipes, cook and entertain. Much to the detriment of my weight. I'm on a streak of 13 days logging here. Just spent my first day at a gym. Need to knock off 100# OMG - it all starts with acknowledging and asking for help :)
