Everything is different when you're going it alone. Let's find fun and encouraging ways to help each other out. But first post a funny pic of you.

This reminds me of an article I just read regarding how you might actually be more successful when trying to engage in healthier eating when you don't have a partner doing it with you:

Not sure how I feel about it, but I thought it was an interesting read!0 -

Experience makes me want to believe that idea, regardless of the article.

I think having an accountability partner does help in many ways, but when they mess up we tend to change the way we gauge our own success and lower our standards. While this sounds like the cause to the AIDS epidemic, having multiple partners, in my opinion is a better solution.
I have a friend who I work out with sometimes, I have a friend that keeps me up to date with recording my diet and setting goals, I have a couple friends that we just share the journey and I have all of MFP to see other people struggle and overcome as well.

Doesn't bother me in terms of motivation... In some ways it is easier.
Oh and funny pic (I'm the hairy one - the guy with the mohawk and phantom mask is a friend who was out on a hen night....)

I think being single is the best motivator there is.... lose 10 pounds and go to the gym for 2 months and see all the new attention you get... you'll never want to quit doing what you're doing

agree. NO one to hold you back. No one to get in your way. No one to slow you down.
