Hi Everyone,
I have scoured the internet and decided to come to you all for some assistance.
I have lost almost 50 lbs at this point. I count my calories, log everything, eat mostly paleo and to 95 minutes of cardio about 5 days a week. I have not started weight training as of yet and that is the next stop.
Years ago I took a "womens weight training" class, it was a small group and it was an excellent class offered at my local YMCA where we have been members for years. The problem is that I need a refresher... I am sure it will all come back once I get going but I am really looking for an online resource or a good book that will give me a refresher course on the basic exercises with some photos so that I can put together a good split routine. I am not looking for a pre-set routine but I am looking for a good resource or book that will refresh my brain. The Womens class is being offered again and I do plan to take it but it isn't scheduled yet and I want to get started.
I appreciate all of your help.
thanks
Stephanie

You can use the following link or youtube for directions on how to perform the lifts.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/finder/lookup/filter/muscle/id/1/muscle/chest
You can select the different muscle groups and use the rating system for popular lifts. You can find a beginners split routine from google.0 -
thanks I have been looking at google all day for a beginners split routine that would suit what I need and the equipment i have access to and couldnt find what I was looking for so I decided to go with finding a source for individual exercises and putting them together myself. Like I said I have experience I just need a good refresher until I can get in the class again... Thanks much for the link appreciate it0

I used this site: stronglifts.com/5x5/ to make my routine0

I've got the Strong Curves book and it has set workouts as well as pictures and very detailed descriptions for how to do each exercise. You can start with the beginner series and work your way up. There are also exercises you can sub in if you don't have the equipment listed because he has each exercise listed under the specific muscles they target. It says it's to build a great butt but it's a total body program-the butt is just bonus!
I have tried strong lifts which is free but I couldn't keep progressing. New rules of lifting (another paid for thing) was great in phase one but phase two get to involved to try to do at a commercial gym in prime time.0 -
thank you very much, much appreciated0
