I MADE MEATBALLS AND THEY TURNED OUT INCREDIBLY MEDIOCRE AND I WAS SO EXCITED BUT I CAN'T EVEN STOMACH THEM IN SPAGHETTI SAUCE
what can i do with them to make them palatable? (my sad recipe was just beef, egg, and italian breadcrumbs. obviously i am not italian. this was me trying to recollect my mom's recipe and failing miserably.)
edit: i should say, what can i do with the meatballs i already have? i'm sure somebody has some unique recipe!

My tricks are : Get the three packs of ground meat (pork, beef, veal), the veal and pork make a big difference in flavor. Also the ratio of your bread crumbs and egg is important. 3/4 tsp per salt per lb of meat and of course, parmesan cheese and some oregano. Bake in the oven and enjoy.

Serve the left over meatballs on toasted bread or pita bread with some sauce, grated parm and/or mozzarella. Or heat them up and serve on mini dinner rolls with American cheese and onion (sliders). Serve them with brown gravy over egg noodles. Or chop them up into a salad and serve with thousand island dressing.0

sliders are a good idea! they do taste particularly burger-y.0

Yeah, you actually kind of went meatloaf with them so it may turn out good in a sammich.0

I'd smash them and cook them in tomato sauce with some Italian spices and onions to make a pseudo Bolognese sauce I think.0

Smash them up and put them in red sauce over pasta. Or again, smash them and make a homemade hamburger helper type thing.
Put them in a frying pan chopped up and stir in some mozzarella cheese. Fry them until they are super crispy and make a sandwich.0 -
good news everyone, i forgot to put them in the refrigerator last night so they went in the trash this morning.
edit: but thanks a bunch! i was so sad that my creative juices were just not flowing0 -
Aw, how sad!
In the future, this recipe is awesome:
93% lean ground beef (about 1lb)
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 to 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (I start with 1/2 and continue to add more in until it's to the desired consistency)
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, black pepper, kosher salt, basil, and oregano
1/2 of one yellow onion, cut small
