    When my kids were young, I was the one who they called to at night because their mother (my ex) didn't wake up easily or pleasantly... I was glad when they reached an age where they could fetch their own water...

    I'm a huge fan of Gary Larson's wonderful comics but it's an apples vs oranges comparison.

    Thank you, @ReenieHJ on both counts. The hardest part was the region where my parents and siblings lived was locked down hard during that time so I wasn't able to attend the funeral in person.

    I was born late in the year so I was consistently the youngest and smallest boy throughout my public schooling. As a result, I can confirm, like Calvin, I was the target of bullies like Moe... right up until I pushed back hard.
