That last cartoon depicts how my daycare cherubs used to be, perfectly. They'd bounce off the walls inside but get them outdoors and they'd schlump in a chair complaining of boredom, 'can we go back in' 'how much longer do we have to stay out here?' Too hot, too bold, too buggy. Lol1

My eldest sister tells a story of when I was young... perhaps even younger than Calvin... I came over and showed her that I had a bee cupped in my hands. She was kinda freaked out, expecting to get stung... or for me to get stung... so she told me to let it go. I did and it flew away...2

Swimming lessons... I remember taking those as a kid... Mind you, I already swam like a fish since I was raised close to the beach but it was a chance to get rewarded for being a good swimmer. Looking back now, I realize this was a great way for my mother to be rid of me for a few days. lol0
