Plateau... and a crash

Hey! So I'm 20 years old, and decided a while back to kick all of my awful childhood eating and exercise habits. Things have generally been going well, with my health steadily improving. It has been a little over 100 days since I've started focusing on fitness. I started off strong, with about 2lbs. off every week... but come early December, and the progress stopped. I figured it was normal enough, but the lack of progress has been getting to me... the past couple of weeks have lacked any of my usual workouts, and my caloric intake has jumped back up to 2000+. Does anybody have some solid recommendations for keeping motivated? I'm getting rather discouraged.

Just keep logging your food. You will probably not eat the 3,500 extra calories per day to gain it back. Water weight has a lot to do with it too. I seem to be stuck but I am not going to give up. It will have to come off some day!

when i log my gains i get ticked off enough to do something, even any little thing. i would recommend the "few small changes" technique but that never works for me. i just have to literally throw myself back into it. "go big or go home". venture on over to the "success stories", that always gets me motivated!

Don't quit! If you are obsessing over eating something, then make the decision that you will eat it tomorrow. Tomorrow, start the day making plans how to fit whatever it is into your day. If you don't want it by then, fine, but if you do, eat it. Eat enough to satisfy the desire, but only as much as you are willing to expend calories on.

You get lots and lots and lots of do-overs in life. Take advantage of every new day.

On a side note, maybe you are trying to do too much and you think if you can't do it all you might as well quit. Don't! Instead, continue eating within your calorie goal and work out (or whatever you do for exercise) once a week. Then next week take stock and decide if you are willing to work out twice. Do that for a while. You have time to do this right. Don't make it so hard on yourself!

Going back to your old ways is not the answer. Have a chat with yourself and get back to it. Weight loss has its ups and downs you need to understand that you won't lose every week.
