Hi there I am female will be 55 this year I am 5'3 and weigh 200 pounds I have been saying I will lose weight for many years (meaning the past 15 years as I was about 50 pounds less then) and not have done it. I have lost a bit, I am more active but of course stop that and then start up again when I feel horrible, but this new year and Xmas I saw pics of me with my new grandchildren and how I view myself and the reality of pictures is very uncomfortable feeling to say the least! I said to my husband my new year resolution is and before I said he says lose wieght right? Don't get me wrong my husband is never critical of my weight at all commends me when I am in my fitness mode etc , but somehow when he said that I thought yes he is right I need to stop this and really do it! We are going on vacation shortly and of course I am not at a weight I would like to be.......again! This may sound really odd but when a gal at work and I started weight watchers in the fal (for the millionth time) she is doing great and I nothing, it always seems that when doing this with someone it is never me who is the successful one(and who's fault would that be ! I do struggle with finding the correct planthat works for me and to be honest the best one it seems is where I am on a lower end of the calories e.g. 1200 age could be a factor....my mom was the same needed to really eat lower ....or was it actually the correct limits )I will continue to go to weight watchers if not to follow that plan but to step on that scale each week. I will also be back at yoga once a week, joined Pilates, gym twice a week for half hour each, aquafit once a week and also have treadmill at home, I will once again challeng the c25k in the spring when I can be outside .....too much snow here, as I really loved how that made me feel. I have wrote this mainly for me (but if you have read ...hope you may be along for this exciting journey)to finally put down in writing of or everyone to see and to say yes I need to lose 40 to 50 pounds for of course looks but also mainly for health as I near retirement , so now that I am committed I will post my successes or struggles along the way , I will not say 10 pounds by such and such a date as that too never has worked for me, I just need to really focus and do this in 2015.....I am excited to accomplish this , this time of year other then vacation , there are really no events that will stop me from focusing on this goal and yes I know life will always be there but for now I need to get into this new lifestyle and I crave it!
