Calorie Goal - Fitbit

Hi,

Fitbit today says that I've burnt 1,958 calories. Am I susposed to deduct 500 calories to burn 1ib a week?

My fitness pal is set to add negitive calories but I'm completely confused about what the daily goal should be?

Please help. My BMR says my resting calorie burn should be 1428.

But deducting 500 from 1958 equals 1458 - is this correct as it seems a very low amount considering I've walked over 5k today alone :(
