A little over a year changed a lot.

No pictures unfortunately, but I wanted to put something in writing at the start of the year to commemorate how far I've come.

I started MFP a little over a year ago over 200 lbs, size 18/20, and needing to track everything to stay on track.

Now I've lost 71 lbs, down to a size 6/8 (sometimes a 4 in dresses which is always a fun surprise), and don't feel the need to track constantly any more. I've gotten to the point where I stock my kitchen with only healthy foods, probably eaten more vegetables in the last year then I have the last 24 other years of my life, cut out soda almost entirely, and gave up looking at the scale almost completely since I've gone several months maintaining without much effort.

Never did pick up exercising for more than a week or two here or there...Oh well. That's one lifestyle change I'll have to try again for this year I guess.

So refreshing to hear a success story where someone just made changes without having to track every single bite for the rest of their lives. I feel that is achievable. Your story makes me certain now.
I think we all know what to do..we just need to do it. Like you did! Congrats..a size four dress is pretty great.
