Heart Rate Question (Fitbit HR/after workout burn)

Hey guys/gals,

I have a fitbit HR. I do Insanity Max 30. I stretch/warm up 5 minutes before and do the cool down/stretch. That's a total of about 35-40 minutes of work out. My fitbit HR is reading my HR in the workout mode for 1 hour and 15 minutes meaning the afterburn was there for a long time.

Is this a misread or is this how afterburn actually works? My resting HR is around 52-55 and it was saying i was around 90-110 during that cooldown.

Thank you for your help. I just want to better understand how my body is working here.
