I am finding it hard to eat clean without going over in the sugar category. I am staying okay in all the other areas, but find it hard to stay within in the sugar especially when eating fruits. Any suggestions?

You don't need to eat clean. You just need a calorie deficit.

Unless you have a medical condition like diabetes, insulin resistance, or hypoglycemia, don't worry about going over on sugar. MFP sets the recommended sugar intake low anyways. You can change it in the diary settings.

Swap out sugar (unless you are diabetic/pre-diabetic) for something worth tracking like fibre

Fruit is fine as long as your are staying within your calories. It is likely that you are doing fine.
