Why is Fiber not measured in this program when it is an important component?

You can change what you track under your settings. I track fiber.0

You can customize it to report your fiber intake by going to the food and exercise settings.0
-
Go to Food>setting> and pick fiber from one of the "Nutrients tracked" menus.0

Instead of tracking Sodium and Sugar, because recent studies have found that Sodium isn't as big an issue as they once thought AND because, since it measures natural sugar as well as processed, the Sugar recommendations seem completely unreasonable...I track Fiber & Calcium, because that's something I know I need & can make food choices accordingly. I also Custom upped the Fiber recommendations (way too low I think), and Calcium (because of a family history of osteoporosis). That's the great thing about MFP, you can adjust it to individual beliefs & goals.0
