I does help heaps with blood circulation, the hot needles work even better, but they kinda hurt, they are dipped in hot oil and pushed further into the muscle. Works a treat.
Bit my favourite things is cupping, and hot rocks. go and get that done, the cupping is just hot air in the glass cup as they put it on your back and when the air cools it sucks your skin in side which helps free up any knots im told.. but feels great. Hot rocks is literally smooth river rocks heated up and placed on your back. Burns at the start then after about 20 seconds the burning sensation stops. Feels good then.0 -

Dipped in hot oil and then poked in? Well that sounds rather, errr..
I've tried a hot stone massage before and it felt pretty damn rad but I don't think we have the cup thing here? I've never seen anyone offer it but I did see it on the olympics and they use it in MMA as well I think.0
