Alot of my mfp pals have met their goals and have left, some are on maintenance. I have been here for 601 days logging. Had a nutritionist who steered me the wrong way but have a new one now and I believe I might be on the right track. I am on 1200 calories and 120 carbs a day. I have had a few set backs between open heart surgery and then I broke my left shoulder bone this past July. I'm still recovering from that. This has been a long journey but you can see I am committed!!

I'm 54 and going through menopause. All my friends "had no problem with it" blah. I'm tired from hot flashes all night and I get tired exercising. I'm a bit cranky with myself and I just want to chill with my kids. Video games and popcorn are more fun than exercise. I could use some motivation too :) This is the 3rd time I've started over with mfp but I think this is the year I'm going to finally going to stick with it. If not all the weight, maybe just feeling stronger would be ok. Lets do this :D
  • I'm 48 have had open heart 11 years ago now facing the possibility of a second one. Been struggling with exercise due to back and joint pain and plantar faciitis. Would like to lose 20 pounds by April. Hoping I can have a longer life than my parents and siblings. Oldest yet was 64. We can do this.
