Trouble sitting after weight loss

Now this might be a slightly weird question. Has anyone else had trouble sitting for an extended period of time after losing weight? Ever since I lost my weight I cannot sit for more than half an hour without feeling discomfort. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Probably have lost fat in that area, so there's no longer cushion. Time to do squats.

probably less cushion...lol! I do know that sleeping has taken some adjustments because my body does not fit together the same as it did with almost 90 pounds ago.....

Yup, I reckon what Mission and Jenjay said! Its a "problem" I'm sure your content to have, the old squats should sort that out.

Yes! I went through a phase where if I sat in a car more than 2 hours now, my tailbone was killing me! Agree with advice above, you need to do squats and lunges to build up your glutes so you have more cushion. Also make sure you're sitting in a proper position. If you're slouching that can put more pressure on your backend.

I don't have trouble because of discomfort, more trouble just sitting still. Always want to be moving. Makes the desk job tough.

Me too. My butt looks nice and round when standing, yet I feel like I am sitting on bones. I've added cushions or soft folded blankets on top of chairs and car seats.

Yes, definitely. It took me time to get used to that odd feeling. Squats really do help.

Absolutely. I've got bones everywhere I've never seen before. I do a lot of squats, but I'm still adjusting to less butt padding.

Yes! Halfway through my journey and I officially have a pillow I keep in the car in case I need extra padding for a chair.

It is amazing how much harder the piano bench got after I dropped my padding.

I don't remember having this problem when I was at my thinnest, but thinking about it, I don't really sit down for long. I'm a teacher so stand at work, and I have young kids, so sitting still at home is not an option :). I'm not usually in my car for more than 25 mins.

I no longer have to sleep with a pillow under my left leg, and that is huge for me!

As for the butt thing, I guess I'm catching up to that. Squats and lunges are part of my routine already but I have got to do more.

I tried a lot of different cushions, including those with cutouts. Now I don't seem to notice it as much as I did a year ago, but I've gained a little back.

No wonder I get this feeling whenever I sit for more than 2 hours. It's feel much better to lie in bed, though.

I sometimes have trouble sitting after a particularly good exercise session. Or it could be the lack of padding :)

If you're really worried it may be worthwhile getting checked out by the doc to make sure you haven't hurt your tail bone or something.

Thanks everyone for the response. First it's good to see I'm no the only one :) I will definitely work on the squats. I'll add it into my workout routine.
