Great question! I've been wondering that about other people as well. :)

I love listening to Grouplove when I run. They're so upbeat and fun! Check out Colours, Borderlines and Aliens, and Itchin' on a Photograph. I'm also a sucker for Sia's Chandelier. And old school Britney. Stronger is a great running song!

I play a lot of REO Speedwagon. I'm old. LOL One of my favorites is Keep Pushin'. I also love Back on the Road Again and Ridin' the Storm Out. And I listen to NKOTBSB. :)

A lot of techno. The good stuff, not dubstep or club though.

Some of my songs are by some slightly obscure artists but they get me pumped!

Dream Catcher by Set It Off (Great one to start your run, starts a bit slow and picks up)
Away We Go by Valencia (Also a great break up song!)
    Caraphernelia by Pierce The Veil
If You Can't Hang by Sleeping With Sirens
I Don't Wanna Dance by Hey Monday
How You Love Me Now by Hey Monday
Something In The Water by Carrie Underwood
Leave The Night On by Sam Hunt
That's My Kinda Night by Luke Bryan
Problem by Ariana Grande & Iggy Azalea
Black Widow by Iggy Azalea & Rita Ora
Beg For It by Iggy Azalea

I have A LOT from Mayday Parade and All Time Low so I recommend checking out their albums to see if there is anything you like. I mix up my speeds with my run so the songs are all different tempos to keep things interesting while I run. Plus, you see I like Rock, country, and some of the Top 40 stuff. It's all about variety. :)

    Lloyd-Dedication to my EX
    Kim Cesarion-Undressed

Warning, eclectic. But I see I am not the only one to have Chariots of Fire on my playlist. I also have:
    • Beautiful World by Anya
    • Hurt Me Tomorrow, K'naan
    • If I had $1,000,000 Barenaked Ladies
    • The Lady is a Tramp by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga
    • Frim Fram Sauce by Diana Krall
    • Thunderstruck, 2 Cellos

I picked up an app, TempoRun, which grades all the songs on my iPhone by tempo. Might be handy.

I actually like to listen to opera & classical it helps me keep the pace instead of having to adjust to a different rhythm of various songs...
