Hi everyone!
I've been a MFP member for a while now and have used the app on and off. I had a wake-up call in the last few weeks and I am finally making my health my #1 priority.
My mom passed away 2 weeks ago due to sudden cardiac death, and heart disease and heart attacks run in my family. She was young, and many of my family members were young when they passed away from heart attacks as well. I know I can't change my genetics and I might be predisposed to heart disease, but I am determined to fight it as much as I can.
I could really use some healthy friends. I would love to meet people that are making health a priority without cutting calories drastically or working off everything they eat. Moderation and mindfulness are important to me, and I'd love to meet others that have the same priorities.
I have about 100 pounds to lose, and my 2015 intention is to live boldly. This includes finally trying out for roller derby after years of putting it off and hiking and camping more.

Im sorry for your lost. I added you I agree about Moderation and mindfulness. I feel terrible when I see other users with good intentions, cutting a ridiculous amount of calories and eating muffins or unsustainable food and doing extreme cardio...0
