ok i on here a month now and things are going good, but i think things could be even better, currently watching my calories and doing ok , every second day im doing couch to 5k, im thinking now id like to start lifting in my inbetween days, i will only have access to free weights that i intend to buy as a gym is difficult to get to where i live. Can anyone point me to an easy to understand routine for a beginner on free weights. i read do deadlifts and squats etc etc but i dont know what these are so am looking for a easy to understand program if people know what i mean, thanks!

If you are buying free weights I'm assuming (please correct me if I'm wrong :) ) dumbbells or kettlebells.. You can always do a goblet squat with them.

Dead lifts can also be done with dumbbells.

Simply Shredded has a pretty good workout routine that has a lot of free weight exercises. Chest press, squats and deadlifts can be accomplished with dumbbells.

    Just so I understand....

you don't know what squats and deadlifts are, so you're asking for people to suggest things that you HAVE heard of?
