I've read about some people having a day every once in a while where they eat more calories and carbs to amp their metabolism back up...
Does anyone have any input or experience with this?

Iv heard it will shock your metabolism and giving it what it really needs or wants. So by throwing sugary foods and bad nutrition will cause it to kick into high gear and burn more. (Once in a while!) Also intermittent fasting does the same but in a different way .0

do you know how long of a fast? Ive gotten conflicting answers when I searched for that the other day.0

Hello! The most usual pattern of intermittent fasting is probably when you fast for 16 hours, and you eat whatever you eat in a day in the remaining 8 hours. You can use a shorter eating window if you can.0

so fit all 1200 or whatever calories into the remaining 8 hours? Is that where your body tries to metabolize it all after not recieving fuel, therefore making your metabolism speed up?0
