anyone know why strength training doesn't show calories burned for workouts?

I logged all my strength training as best as I could today, not knowing the names for all the exercises. It took a while to find and log in the exercises. When I was finished, I was disappointed to not see calories burned for the activity. Why is that? I mean, that was hard work, for no calories burned.

There is an entry under cardio, but there is so much variability its a pretty wild guess. That could be wrist raises of 5# or squatting 450#. And theres more rest than lifting at high weight low rep schemes0
