How many calories?

I got a Life Track C410 recently and used it today for my first workout. I did interval running and did the stair master for 51 minutes. I am 5'5 and 144lb. It said I burned 758 calories (14 calories a minute)...it also monitors your heart rate. This seems high to me? Not sure if it is or not? I am new to using it so just wanted some feedback.
