Got busy, didn't log yesterday, should I?

What do other members here do if you were busy (or lazy) yesterday and didn't log? Do you go back and do your best to remember and log it? Or do you mentally write off yesterday and get back to logging today?

It's a good idea to go back and log. Then you can look at your macros and micros from a weekly perspective and get an accurate picture.

Log it. Today, you pretty much know what you ate. Logging helps me find patterns of hunger, energy, and what works for me. For example, now I have a snack right before I leave work so that I am not ravenous while I drive home/make diner. Really helps me avoid drive-thru temptations.

I think that if you're going to bother to calorie count (a tedious pain in the rear, if ever there was one) that logging it as accurately as possible is better. The point is to get good data about what your weight does against calories and exercise over time, yes?

    Log it.

If I was just starting out, I would back log it so that I could properly observe things. With more experience you'll likely be able to just chalk it up to a reasonably good day or bad day and move on.

When I was first starting out, I found it very beneficial to just pre-log my days. As I gained more experience this became less important and I don't log at all anymore...but early on, pre-logging was very key for me and a big part of my overall success.

Some days I just record an approximate calorie count. (This feature is there if hard to find).

I go back and log it to the best of my ability. If I go back and log it, I am less likely to get out of the habit of logging. It's only one day now, but it's way too easy to get into that pattern and quit logging completely. Especially in the beginning.

Go back and log. On occassion I haven't had internet available for a few days. I have gone back and logged after.

Thank you. NikiChicken, you were exactly right! I missed one day of logging, wrote this, then didn't log for another 2 days.

I see that building the habit is so important in these early days. O.k., back at it.

I'm going to go against the flow and say don't worry about it.

I've really tried to get into the mindset of putting yesterday behind me and focusing on today. When I worry about what happened yesterday, I'm more likely to expect perfection from myself and quit. So I only worry about today.

    Focus on today.

I mentally take note of the calories I eat...so if I forget to actually log it on the internet, I think it's no big deal.

If it helps you personally to see it on here, then go ahead and log.
