I have been struggling far too long and tired of feeling this way. I have turned off the news in the morning and am walking instead. My goal is to get off the painkillers and blood pressure pills and sleeping pills . I will be 49 this year and I need to lose 65 lbs but if I can lose 49 by my Birthday that would be SPECTACULAR!! This means no sugar and no white flour I can do this .

Welcome!! you can do this!! Try to eat a little protein at every meal, protein keeps you satiated. Fat helps too. I don't know how many days until your birthday but set your goal to no more than 1 to 1 1/2 pounds per week. It makes it very hard to sustain an aggressive weight loss goal. Best wishes0

Hopefully your birthday is towards the end of the year so you can lose it slowly and sustainably. Are you a severe diabetic? I am wondering why you have been advised not to eat any sugar or white flour?

I'm in the same boat. I have scoliosis and osteoarthritis in my spine and I don't want to start meds. Doing my best to avoid it. I need to lose at least 45 lbs. Good luck to you! Support is solo important!0

When is your birthday? Good luck! It's good to have a goal to work toward and that one sounds perfect (a nice "birthday gift" to yourself).0
