This is my first time with this app. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. I'm a little nervous if it's possible.

    No, she's saying that as long as you burn more calories than you take in (eat) you will lose weight. You should strive to meet your calorie goals. You will see a lot of people on here say CICO (Calories In Calories Out). Means as long as calories out are higher than calories in, you will lose weight. Good luck.
