Water retention from carbs?

I've noticed that after a day slightly higher in carbs for me, meaning about 10 g my body retains a good amount of water. My diet isn't very high in carbs to begin with. Is there anyway to avoid this and how can I? Thanks

Only 10g? I do retain with significantly more carbs, but not with that small a fluctuation.

The body requires water to process & store carbs.
    IIRC, it's 2g water for 1g carbs.
But once they're burned (go exercise), the water is also released.
    Nothing to worry about.
The only way to avoid it is not to eat carbs, which is not only unhealthy, but absolutely no fun at all. (Give up lasagna? Never!!)

BTW, here's a table which explains the healthy ranges for macros:

    page 1, carbs, 45 - 65% of calories (4 cal per gram)
    page 2, fat, 20 - 35% of calories (9 cal per gram)
    page 4, protein, 10 - 35% of calories (4 cal per gram)
