Tips on losing 20 lbs

Hello,
I am currently 5'2'' and 135 lbs. I have two kids and prior to my second, I was 115 lbs and comfortable.
I am looking at Beach Body programs although I really hate cardio. I had started lifting, but I feel like i want to drop these 20 lbs and then work on building my muscle. I am looking into 21 day fix (really hoped to do body beast but i need too much equipment for that) and hope to use that to lose weight.. do you think once i lose the weight and start eating more calories and start lifting, i will just gain all that fat back...?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
TIA!

Figure out your TDEE and do a deficit of about 15% (should be about 1/2 lb per week loss which is appropriate with 20 lb to lose). That will be the calories you should eat for fat loss. DON'T give up weight lifting as it will help you retain the muscles you have while also helping you lose body fat. Do HIIT or small amounts of cardio for your heart health or to give you some extra calories to eat.0

I previously lost 50lbs around 2009 doing zero cardio until the end when my weight loss slowed down. I just did strength training and calorie restriction, because like you, I hate cardio. Then I let myself go for a few years, though not as bad as last time, and now I'm back at it LOL. I've lost 10lbs since the beginning of December, probably lots of water weight though, doing just calisthenics and eating less. I have another 25lbs to lose. Cardio isn't required, it will just get you there faster, or help you break through plateaus once you get to lower body fat ranges.0
