    The are mostly for themed runs. I know we have an Disco 5k coming up in my area and it's just fun to dress up and enjoy it like a party.

    I think it gets people jazzed up. Makes it feel like a special, fun day. I don't personally dress up for races, but I appreciate when other people do. It makes for fun people watching.

    Yep. Some races have costume contests as part of the race. Just adds a little fun to the race
