Ankle problems

My ankle used to be fine, until i sprained it about a year ago. I used to be able exercise without problems and i used to walk a hell of alot because of my job. But after spraining it about a year ago its been a complete pain in the butt. It used to feel like it was about to break apart when i walked and it sorta contributed to my current weight (seriously it was like that for nearly 6 months) . While I can walk fine on it now, excercising is more of a problem and it is quite painful at times. Does anyone have any tips on how to get it to not hurt while exercising as it is a bit annoying.

Try lower impact activities such as swimming or biking/spinning.
But I would strongly suggest that you get it checked out if it is really causing that much pain. Depending on what the issue is, you might be able to get some help from physical therapy - stretching exercises, strengthening exercises, or some sort of supportive brace might even be helpful.0 -
Physical Therapy...get a referral and go ASAP. It will make all the difference.0
