I hate looking in the mirror and not liking what I see without any clothes on. My boyfriend comes home from deployment in a few months and i want him to be pleasantly surprised when he gets home. Let's help each other!!

    Hun, your boyfriend is going to be thrilled to see you no matter what! I hope that this is the first return home after deployment for both of you. Just remember he's had some serious experiences, some of which he may not care to discuss, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you. Everything will be an adjustment. Simple things, like a dresser full of clean, soft, fresh smelling t-shirts; toilet paper that doesn't leave him scarred; food that doesn't look smell and taste like alpo. I had a very close female friend in Irag for 14 months with the National Guard, and my closest male friend was in Afghanistan with the Air Force last year. They had very different experiences. But they both kind of had to remember how to behave in public when they got home LOL

    Now, on to why you're here...my son just started boot camp on Monday (Marines) and I made kind of a promise to myself that I would move every single day from then until I leave for his graduation. I figure if he can work HARD all day every day, I can MOVE every day. And I'm on day 368 of tracking and logging on MFP. So what I'm saying is if you're okay having someone old enough to be your mother (which means sometimes I may offer you some motherly advice - kind of like I just did) as an MFP friend, I think I could be at least a part of what you're looking for :smiley:
