Trying to lose weight from medication

Hi all!

I'm Megan, and I'm a college junior. I'm 5'2", and I was always around 120-130 in high school and my freshmen year and felt great there; I've always been very muscular from years of tennis, soccer, and golf, and I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight. I started antipsychotics for Bipolar Disorder in fall of 2013, and I've gained significant weight while on those--I now way 168 lbs. I've hit my breaking point with unhealthy eating, and I'm looking to start exercising regularly again. My goal weight to start is 135, and from there I'll figure out if I want to lose more. I'm looking for friends on here to help hold me accountable. Feel free to add me, especially if you are starting at a similar weight!

  • I was exactly the same, I could eat anything and stay slim. I was prescribed an antipsychotic called Risperidone and gained 20lbs in less than 3 months! I've recently stopped taking them and now I'm trying to shift the extra weight.
