Is there a way to manually enter the nutritional values of something?

Yup, you can edit nutritional info by following these steps, which allows you to edit the nutritional information for a food in the database. If that's not what you meant, then I don't know. :)

    1. Search for the food (under the Food tab, as if you're adding a food to your diary)
    2. Once you've found it in the list, click on it.
    3. The information that shows up on the right, where you can enter the amount of servings etc., you can click on the words "nutritional information".
    4. When page with the nutritional information loads, it should ask you if the information is correct. Click 'No' and then click 'Edit.'
    5. Enter the new information and save.

If you are looking to add a new food (because the one you want is not already in the Database), click on the Food tab at the top of the page, click on the My Foods link and then click on the Create Food button. There you will be presented with all of the fields you will need to enter.

    Hope that helps!!

I would be careful editing database entries because what's correct on an item for someone in the USA is completely different from someone who might have the same item in say Germany, but only slightly different from someone in say Canada or the UK. That's because different countries have different standards for the foods that are imported and sold in their country so the food will have different nutritional values.

Go to the database tab and search for your food; go through the results to find the one that matches. If no match, then add your own food to the database under the My Foods tab.
  • Thank you so much :) All of this was very helpful!!
