i done my monthly weigh in and measurement taking and I am the exact same weight as last month but have lost an inch from waist, hips, calves and neck but have added an inch to thighs and biceps. My chest however has remained the same ?

Could the weight remaining static be muscle increase on the thighs and biceps even though I have obviously lost inch from my waist etc ?

I do a lot of spinning and fast walking so could explain increase in thighs.

Any ideas welcome

you're not putting on muscle at a calorie defecit - particularly not with cardio work

Perhaps you measured slightly differently? different tensions etc? You need to be careful with measurements - do you also notice clothes fitting differently? How do you look in the mirror

How is your calorie defecit going? Fat loss could be masked by water weight

keep going and reassess if the scale doesn't shift in a few weeks - eg refocus on your weighing and logging, check your exercise calories etc

My clothes size has changed ive gone from 36 inch to 34 inch jeans so defo a change there and I can do my shirt collar button up which I couldn't do before.
I also got my partner to measure me three times in each area and measurements were always the same.

As for calorie deficit im keeping to under 1650 calories a day without taking my exercise calories off (usually 500-700) so all ok there.

The only thing I can think of is maybe I put weight on over xmas and have lost the weight this week putting me back to where I was before xmas on my last weigh in.

I tend to lose inches and pounds separately from one another. But there is a pattern. I lose the inches, then I'll see a whoosh on the scale afterward. It happens to some people.

Be patient, if you're doing it right, the weight loss will follow. Inches are what people see anyway.

Weight is incredibly variable. Measurements can be too. Trust the process, keep going, and try to focus on long term trends in weight/measurements (months and years, not days and weeks).

If you're eating how you should be and getting some exercise, then trust the process and try to be more patient.

Nail on the head there mate im too impatient. I suppose its because I lost 8 kg in about the first 8 weeks and now its been static for a month so I was a bit disappointed.

Went a month with no scale weight loss, but down 2 pant sizes and a lot of inches lost. Then the scale weight loss occurred daily/weekly, been a month with continual scale weight loss and no inches lost. Hoping for the inches lost coming up in the next few week.

I always find I loose more when I hide the scales from myself and focus on other things.

How clothes fit now and regular pictures of yourself or a friend you see once a month are a better judge.

So many people get disheartened when they don't loose as much as they think they have after weighing themselves and then give up.

I weigh myself every couple months, that way I know there will be a loss.

This totally for me! I there were some months that I was only a few pounds down and my measurements were off the charts. About two weeks later I had a huge drop on the scale.
