First successful "cure" I have found for PMS/PMT

I have asked, and many others have asked if there was any way to lessen the cravings, bloating, tempermental hurricane that defines PMS/PMT for so many of us.

Exercise and reducing carbs helps...a bit.

5-HTP seems to reduce it by about 75%. I start it the first day I feel like eating everything that's not nailed down or snapping at my husband. I continue ONLY until the day my period begins. The warnings recommend not using it for more than 12 weeks....so I only take it during this time and stop immediately. Always follow your doctor's recommendations.

It cheers me up HUGELY, reduces cravings by about 75% and reduces the "crazies" quite a bit. Thought I'd share. Hope it helps.

    Sorry..realize this looks almost like an advertisement (though not sure for what..). Not meant to...can't think of a better way to write it. I tend to overeat and be cranky the week before my period. This makes it mostly better, and I have, to date, found nothing else that seems to.
