help please! everytime i do bicep curls my biceps will not isolate but for some reason my wrist,etc

Every time i try to curl my biceps never work but my wrist and forearm is getting worked and its stressing my arm out. See this is why i hate lifting weights because it never seems to be working.

Are you just doing dumbells? Maybe try cables. You can always switch back and forth to hammer curls that are not as bad on the wrists. Also try barbell curls or ez curl and see if it hurts your wrist as well.0

Try going super-light and really focus on flexing the muscle during the exercise, once you get a feel for the exercise progress as needed. I see a lot of guys at the gym that use way way more weight than they can correctly curl and I think a lot of it is just ego. Just keep your ego in-check, start light, and work hard.0
