Changing My Calories Every week?

Would it work to change my calories from say 1720 calories 1 week (this should get me to lose 1lb) and then the next week switch to 1420 calories (this should get me to lose 1.5lbs) and keep going back and forth. Would that confuse my body in a good way or a bad way? Or would it not do anything and I would just potentially lose what it says for that week?

I do this! It's called calorie cycling but I do it by days and never drop below 1500 per day. It works for me.0

Yes I've done this but only by alternate days not week, should work though.0

I don't know if it speeds things up so to say, but I expect it certainly isn't a bad way of doing it.0
