Having trouble figuring out how many calories I should allow myself.

Hello everyone,
So, a little about me. I'm female, 25, 5'10 and 237 lbs. after many attempts, I'm finally making myself be serious. My job is pretty active, I work with dogs and am on my feet all day. Right now, because I'm starting out, I'm trying to go to the gym every other day and trying to burn 500 cal a workout. I usually end up burning a few more while I'm walking around at work. My question is, when I put all of this into the app, it gave me a balance of around 1900 a day. I look at friend's balances and theirs are usually lower. So, what do you think? Does that amount sound okay? Does my exercise regimen sound good enough? I'm not trying to go to the gym every day and burn 1000 cal a day, I'm just trying to do as much as I can and still be able to go to work and function lol. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'd be happy to help you figure this out. There's more to it. If you don't mind answering a few questions -- add me.0

I'm having the same concerns. My build is similar to yours and it's saying I need 1700/day.0

For what it's worth, 1900/day doesn't sound unusually high for someone with your stats. Everyone is going to need a different amount of calories based on their stats, age, activity level, etc. so try not to compare yourself to others unless they're very close to the same stats as you.
