You should eat a good meal or plenty of protein after. I workout in morning then have high protein breakfast. After work, I work out, go home then have a big dinner.0

Any food will give you energy (that's what calories actually represent!), but I would suggest a lean meat (chicken/fish), a simple carb (rice), and lots of veggies. Flavour as you like, it can have a lot of variety in taste, and can make a good ratio of protein : carbs for a post workout meal.0

Sushi works for me. I usually don't feel much like eating after a long run, but can tell that I need to refuel; sushi has all three elements mentioned above (protein, simple carb, veg) in an easy-to-eat package.0
