Running with dogs

I jog with my two dogs. They keep me motivated. Whenever I grab my sneakers they get so excited, so I can't look at their faces and be lazy.
Anyone else run with their dog(s)? If so, any harnesses you prefer for them?
I currently have a generic (can't remember brand name) harness I got from petco. I don't feel like the piece that extends from the neck to the torso on their undercarriage is long enough. The torso strap is right behind their front legs (think of it as their armpits) and I am worried they may chafe. I have adjusted the straps to the loosest setting, they aren't small on them by any means, just doesn't feel long enough in that area. Any thoughts or suggestions for a better harness?
